Little things & Little moments

Hi friends, 

              So, I've decided to make a few changes around here. Just a few things to make my life a little easier. I'm having so much trouble keeping up with the blog & getting my work done, in my workshop! Somethins gotta give! :)  I am just cutting back a bit, no longer doing cheap & chic or friday posts. But, I will still be here, to the best of my abilities mon thru thursdays. I'd like to think that I can balance it all but, I just can't. I think it will make everything a lot less stressful.  So....

Little things: 

 ~ My lastest, I haven't come up with a name for it yet but, I like it! It started out as one thing and evolved into something else. It is making me happy today! :) 

~ Obsessed with these Valentino sunnies and the bows on the sides. Can't you hear them whispering? "Summer....summer....summer."

~ Ditto, this tv console. I love that blue and the modern lines are just what the doctor ordered for my living room ( or, so says me!) and the price is cah-razy. :) 

Little moments:

~ my hubby acting as my trainer this past week. Fun and he's good at it! :) 

~ getting some good nights sleep in. 

~ going to the drama desk awards sunday night, and SO excited for Joel. He was nominated for "Outstanding actor in a solo performance" and I am just SO proud of him. It is a huge honor in the NY theater scene and should be a lot of fun!

Hello, hello! 

                 I have been so absent and I apologize! I was out of town for a few days and then busy in my workshop for awhile there. But, I am back and hoping you had a wonderful weekend! And for you mamas, out there, I hope you had a beautiful mother's day! It was beautiful weather here & we made the most of it. It was truly, the perfect day. I wanted to share a quote with you, that I found inspiring. Plus, a few things I have been working on, that will be in the shop soon.

Cheap & Chic

Hi! 

        Despite the rainy weather, I have sunny days and summer on the brain. I fell in love with a pair of sneaks yesterday ( no surprise there) and thought I would get together an oufit around them. The top seems like it would be perfect with anything, ditto the pants and all wrapped up with an adorable "star" of a bag!

Snippets & inspiration

Hello! 

** Update: Fenton & Fenton sells the artist shown in the first image, down below. The artist's work will be up on their website soon. **   Did you have a lovely weekend? The weather sure was beautiful around these parts. And watching our girls & dogs, enjoy being outside, was the best.  Thank you for your supportive and sweet comments in response to my shop opening on friday! I really appreciate you all and if you feel so inclined, come on over and say "hi" on my new shop facebook page: here. Over the weekend, I saw some beautiful inspiration, that I thought I would share with you today. A gorgeous dining room, my favorite wallpaper and a purse that looks like a lovely necklace.  

~ Just....gorgeous. I love that amazing painting and the way the chandelier seems to be an additional layer, adding just the right amount of color to the black and white image. The blues picked up in the tray and the grey and black accents scattered about. From Fenton & Fenton, styled by Julia Green. 

~ This bag (yep, bag. It looks like a pendant, no?) is so lovely in it's simplicity and it is inspiring me to create a piece that is it's echo. here.

~ This Julia Rothman wallpaper has long been a favorite of mine. I would love to have it in our entryway and the entryway in this photo is just stunning. I love that rug, the striped runner and the blue accents. From here.
